Michael A. Ennis

Michael A. Ennis, 56, of Rockford, passed away November 13, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born December 26, 1961 in Topeka, KS, the son of Donald & Gladys (Osterhaus) Ennis. Graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1979. Married Lori Brierton in Rockford, on May 5, 1984 at Our Masters UMC. Member of Maywood Evangelical Free Church. Michael enjoyed reading, watching movies and volunteering for the Special Olympics. He enjoyed bowling and playing softball in his earlier years. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Michael will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include beloved wife, Lori; mother, Gladys; son, Robert Ennis; siblings Daniel (Theresa) Ennis and Sandra Schroeder; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Donald.
Memorial service will be 12 pm Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108, with Pastor Dave Currie officiating. Visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
