Melissa Lynn Beesley

Melissa Lynn Beesley, 42, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Melissa always remained strong and positive for her family and friends throughout her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Manassas, Virginia on January 23, 1975, the daughter of Terry and Therese (Volanti) Beesley. Melissa was a brave person and truly a gift to her family.
Melissa is survived by her parents, Terry and Therese Beesley; her siblings, Theresa (Duane) Swierski of Las Vegas, NV, Nicholas Beesley of Las Vegas and Naomi (Garrett) Ragland; her nephew and niece, Logan and Ryann Sweirski. Predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Adata Beesley and her maternal grandparents, Carl Volanti and Paulette Oost.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2017, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Rockford with Reverend Dean Parker officiating. Visitation from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the SwedishAmerican Caring Canine program or to the American Cancer Society.
