Melinda A. Sauberlich, 69, passed away on May 18, 2020. Born in Rockford, Illinois on July 19, 1950 she was daughter to Harvey and Margret (Powell) Reecher. A graduate of East High School Melinda went on to live an interesting life. For a time she lived in Alaska, then moved to California. While in California she worked on her artistic abilities, she loved to paint and would sell her table settings made of bread. When she moved back to Rockford she joined the Calvary Lutheran Church congregation and enjoyed participating in church activates when she could. She loved and was very proud of her yard, garden, and flowers. She spent a lot of time with her friends and enjoyed being socially active. Most of all though, she loved spending time with her grandkids. Any way they could spend time together was her favorite, but they all enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by those who loved her most, her son Troy Sauberlich; her grandchildren A.J. and Ryne Sauberlich; her brother Bevan Reecher of Bradenton, Florida; her niece and nephew Deena and Aaron; her close friends Jamie and Stephanie. She was predeceased by her parents.
