Matthew “Matt” W. Wissmach, 31, of Mt Morris, IL passed away suddenly on September 27, 2021. He was born on October 16, 1989, in Rockford, IL to Roger and Vicky (Giameluca) Wissmach. Matt graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2009. As a kid, he played baseball and basketball for Roy Gayle and Ken Rock. Matt met his soulmate and the love of his life in 2012 and they married on September 26, 2020, in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the Corvette Museum. Matt was a car guy, he especially loved his Chevy’s. He was handy at fixing cars and would fix Nicole’s car as needed and always made sure it was working well for her. Matt rebuilt a motor in his 1982 Chevy Silverado, and he had a 1962 Buick Special they were going to rebuild as a family. He worked for the Sheet Metal Union Local 219 for over 5 years as a journeyman. Matt was very artistic and enjoyed putting together model cars. He was a big kid at heart and a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger fanatic. Matt enjoyed being a father, he loved being goofy and playing with them but was also willing to help them with their homework. He enjoyed teaching his children everyday life skills as well. Matt was a problem solver and always found a way to fix things. He was the handy man of the house and if something ever needed to be fixed, he made sure it was done and done right. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
