Matthew A. Ciembronowicz Matthew A. Ciembronowicz, 53, of Rockford, died on Thursday, November 6, 2008 in his home surrounded by his family from complications of the injuries he sustained in a trucking accident in 1984. Matt was born July 22, 1955 in Chicago the son of Matthew H. and Marion Ciembronowicz. He lived all of his life in the Rockford/Cherry Valley area except for the two years that he lived in Colorado where he met his wife Valerie. They were married May 29, 1982 in Rockford. Matt owned and operated Ciembronowicz Trucking until he became incapacitated in a work related accident June 27, 1984. Matt loved his family very much and one of his proudest moments was the birth of his son Matthew. Matt also loved trucking and the many hours he spent drinking coffee with his friends at the Oakview Restaurant. Matt is survived by his wife, Valerie; son, Matthew (Stacey) Ciembronowicz; step-daughter, Tina Szwiec; three grandchildren, Paige Ciembronowicz, and Shelby and Abigail Szwiec; two brothers, Reid and Adam Ciembronowicz; sister, Kim Hart; mother-in-law, Johnnie Johnson; brother-in-law, Toney (Melinda) Foster; three aunts, Bernadette Furon, and Nellie and Jennie Ciembronowicz; longtime friend, Charlie Johnson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Matt was predeceased by his parents, and his uncles Chester and Edmund Ciembronowicz. The family would like to thank Dr. OMally for his many years of diligent care given to Matt, and Family Centered Hospice for their care and compassion given to Matt and his family during his final days. Funeral services for Matt will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with Rev. Melinda Foster officiating. Family and friends will meet at Kishwaukee Cemetery at 2 P.M. for burial services. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 4:00 -6:00 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
