Mateo Raymond Gutierrez

Mateo Raymond Gutierrez, 11 months old, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. He was born on October 26, 2021, in Chicago, the son of Brisa Gutierrez. Mateo was a fighter and overcame many strong battles. He was a very playful smiley and happy baby and was always positive.

Mateo is survived by his mom, Brisa and loved by many other family members.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the NICU medical team at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Mateo, and to the Ronald McDonald House and Jackson Change Foundation for the generous care they gave the family.
