Marzelle Dendy, 92, of Rockford, formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away February 19, 2008, at P. A. Peterson Home in Rockford. Marzelle was born July 16, 1915, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Marzelle grew up in the community of Parkers Chapel and graduated from Parkers Chapel High School, later attending bookkeeping and business school in El Dorado. Marzelle married Dwight Arnold Dendy May 14, 1938, and was a loving wife and homemaker until his death in 1990. In April of 2003, she moved to Rockford, to live near her son. Marzell was a long standing member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and Sunshine Bible Class in El Dorado. Survived by son; Dwight Edward (Linda) Dendy of Caledonia; grandsons Edward (Anita), Brian and Kevin; great-granddaughter, Sophia and great-grandson, Axel; nieces Maxine and Judy Reynolds, brother Lavelle, sisters Lamar, Lamae and nephew James. Memorial services will be 2 P.M., Thursday, March 13, 2008, in P.A. Peterson Home, 1311 Parkview Av. with Dr. Chuck Olson officiating. Private family burial in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), 3505 E. Frontage Rd.
