Maryann Schwarzbach

February 25, 1934 — January 7, 2011

MaryAnn Schwarzbach, 76, Rockford, was received into heaven at 2:20 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born February 25, 1934 in Ottawa, daughter of Charles and Sara Kossow Aussem. Graduated from Marquette High School in Ottawa and on June 9, 1956 married William R. Schwarzbach. Member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Also a member of the Catholic Daughters Society and was a volunteer at Midway Village. She was an excellent homemaker in every sense of the word. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Special thanks to Diana Alexander and all of her friends from the OSF Rehabilitation Class. Survivors include her husband, William; children, Judy (Chris) Graceffa, Jane (Steve) Bergman, Joyce (Drake) Dagnon, Jim (Erin) Schwarzbach, John (Trisha) Schwarzbach, Joan Schwarzbach and Jean (Bill) Redig; grandchildren, Thomas and Anne Graceffa, Nathaniel, Jensen, Hannah, Austin and Erin Schwarzbach, Zachary and Cameron Schwarzbach and Sara, Ben and Megan Redig. Predeceased by her parents, brothers, Charles Aussem and Richard Aussem and sister, Joyce Livingston.Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 in St. Rita Catholic Church. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 4:30 p.m. Visitation also from noon until 12:45 p.m. at the church on Monday.
