MaryAnn Rush, 70, of Roscoe, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 26, 1947 in Rockford, the daughter of Louis and Tina (Calacci) Marinelli. She graduated West High School in 1966. She met the love of her life, Michael Rush and the two married on December 30, 1972. She proudly worked for Amerock for nearly 25 years, and later for the Illinois Tollway. MaryAnn was fun loving and outgoing, always making those around her feel at home. Her grandchildren brought her the most joy. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, nana, and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael Rush; her daughters, Lesly Bunting, and Laura (Phil) Cordova; her grandchildren, Allison Bunting, Emma, Nora, and Luke Cordova; brother in-law, Jim Black; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, and sister, Lois Black.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1010 Ferguson Street. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel. Interment private. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com
