Mary "Suzy" Dall'Osto

Mary “Suzy” (Pobstman) Dall’Osto died October 15, 2015 at Presence Cor Mariae. She was born on May 12, 1937 in Rochelle to Harold and Frances (Reed) Pobstman. Graduated from Rochelle High School and Saint Anthony Hospital School of Nursing. As an R.N. she worked for many years for Dr. John Meara. Married Reno Dall’Osto on June 10, 1978, he died Dec. 16, 2001. Family and friends were very important to Suzy. She was known by many for her generous and caring nature and the greatest aunt Suzy-ever. She is survived by sisters, Barbara Hermann of Madisonville, KY, Alice (Norman) McNeal of Belvidere; brother, Chuck (Corky) Pobstman of Queen Creek, AZ and Reno’s children, Phillip (Anna) Dall’Osto and Karin (Greg) Allton and their children, Adam and Hillary Allton and Christian Ypul; many nieces, nephews and dear friends, Ruthann, Mike and Monty. Preceded in death by her husband, brother, Mahlon Meling and sister, Elizabeth Pobstman.
Funeral Mass Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St., Rockford. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, October 22 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. In lieu of flowers memorials to: Heartland Hospice or Presence Cor Mariae.
