Mary Rose Palmero, 101 of Rockford, died on June 10, 2007 at Riverbluff Nursing Home. Born, March 27, 1906 in Baton Rouge, LA., daughter of Paul and Vita (Carlotta) Arduino. Married her loving husband, the late, Anthony Henry Palmero on June 1, 1924 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Worked as a seamstress for Bergners from 1970-74. Mary was a wonderful and gracious woman who loved her family and friends dearly. Her smile, her laughter and her good sense of style will be missed by all. The family would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff of Riverbluff Nursing Home for the loving care they gave Mary and Independence Village. Survivors include her children, Claudia (Frank) Ingardona of Loves Park and Joseph Palmero of Loves Park; grandchildren, Mark Palmero of AZ, David Palmero of Rockford, Jill Valentine of Rockford, Kathryn (Dr. Gerald) Donnelli, Alex (Kristi) Ingardona of Wheaton, Toni (Mike) Piamonte of Belvidere and Frankie (Kelli) Ingardona of Rockford; great grandchildren, Patti, Holly, Brandon, Jeff, David, Kristen, Michael, Alexa, Gianna, Albert, Jade, Zackary, Dario and Frankey; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony on June 10, 1970; brothers, Anthony & Vince Arduino; sisters Angelina Barelli and Katherine LaBarro and daughter-in-law Joanne Palmero. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007 at St. Bridget Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Olsen officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11a.m. on Friday at the church. Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel assisted the family.
