Mary L. Bennett

Mary L. Bennett, 91 of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, with her family by her side. Mary was born November 6, 1927, in Villa Grove, IL; daughter of Clarence and Mary (Martin) Iverson.
Mary was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her 7 children. She enjoyed painting, both in oils and water colors and fishing, especially on trips to Minnesota. Mary is survived by her sons Terry (Carol), Stephen (Caroline), Tom, and David (Debbie) Bennett; her daughter, Paula Olson; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents; husband Hubert R. Bennett; children, Kathleen Gray, Mary Ann Risland and infant twins John and Paul; brothers, Martindale, Jack, and Clare Iverson; and sister, Josephine Klonicki.
The family would like to thank Mercy Health at Home Hospice. Their care and kindness will never be forgotten.
