Mary Jane Wylie

Mary Jane "Janie" Wylie-95, of Rockford, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. Born November 6, 1918 to Robert and Myrtle (Smith) Paden in Toledo, Ohio. She lived her entire life in Rockford. Mary Jane graduated Central High School in 1936 and married Kenneth Wylie October 22, 1939. She was employed at Third National Bank before going into business with her husband in 1948, opening and operating A1 Laundry and retiring in 1978. She then worked for several years at Sparkle Cleaners. Ken and Jane were married for 67 years, he passed away August 26, 2006.
Survived by nieces; Jill (Scott) Kuhlow, Pam Pauletto,; great nephews Chad Kuhlow and Brent Kuhlow; and several very special nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, father, mother and sister, Ronene Rechtin. The family would like to thank her neighbor Margaret Brandall and care takers Starla and Linda and Pamela at PA Peterson for all their kindness.
Funeral Service 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church 2715 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61109 with Pastor Janet Wold officiating. Burial in Willwood Cemetery.
