Mary Jane Mcintyre

Mary Jane McIntyre, 83, of Rockford passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016. Born August 19, 1932, in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Novotney) Verona. Graduate of Muldoon High School. Mary Jane married Robert W. McIntyre on November 23, 1950 in Rockford. She was a charter member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Ladies of the Moose member and a lifetime member of Women’s Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survived by her children, Pamela (Steve) Tharaldson of Machesney Park and Gregory (Cindy) McIntyre of Winnebago; daughter-in-law, Megan McIntyre of Rockford; grandchildren, Dawn (Larry) Long, Patrick (Emily) McIntyre, Sean McIntyre, Kyle (fiancé, Rachel Hallquist) McIntyre, Alex McIntyre and Molly McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Brady, Tyler and Karsyn Fielder; sister-in-law, Ann Verona; brother-in-law, Jack (Rosemary) McIntyre and special cousin, Mary DePasqua. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Margaret, husband, Robert W. McIntyre in 2006, in-laws, William and Priscilla McIntyre, son, Rockford District Fire Chief, Kevin McIntyre in 2004 and brother, Eugene Verona. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
