Mary Jane Mac Murchy

Mary Jane Mac Murchy, 90, of Roscoe, IL, died at home Monday, May 17, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Rockford, IL to Carl and Mary (Castrogiavani) Salamone.

Mary Jane had a lifelong, strong Catholic faith. She was a Muldoon High School graduate and a member of the St. Mary’s Good Time Club. Mary Jane was a 25-year employee of Logli/Schnucks Grocery stores. First and foremost, her family was her greatest joy. Mary Jane enjoyed a glass of wine or beer at family celebrations, and was the best and most loving Nana Katie and Jessica could ever have. She will have a special place in all of our hearts.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Mary Lynn Wilken and Marci (Dan) Lupont; granddaughters, Katie (Nicholas) Crocker and Jessica Lupont; sister-in-law, Jan Creviston, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents; brothers Carl, Tony and Gene Salamone; sister, Margaret Logli, and her 17-year-old Shih Tzu, Nick

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park, IL. Please observe current mask and social distancing rules of the Church. Inurnment at St Mary’s/St. James Catholic Cemetery, 917 Auburn Street, Rockford, IL.
