Mary Jane Holloway

Mary Jane Holloway, 90, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at River Bluff Nursing Home. Born March 25, 1923 in Sycamore, the daughter of Garrett and Anna (Wald) Burke. Mary Jane graduated from Sycamore High School. She married Rawleigh Holloway in 1942; he predeceased her in 1983. She worked as a Greeter at Sam’s Club for many years. Mary Jane was a member of First Lutheran Church. Survived by her son, Gary (Kathy) Holloway; daughter, Jane (Ron) Hedin; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and brother, Paul Burke. Also predeceased by her parents, brothers, David, Garrett and John and sisters, Helen Swedberg, Mildred Lotson, Ruth Anderson, Ann Iverson, Pat Pipitone and Opal Burke. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
