Mary Jane Heuer

Mary J. “Jane” Heuer, 99, died on January 10, 2021. She was born January 16, 1921 to Frank and Birtie (Green) Cook in Quincy, IL.

She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Bridget and Holy Family Catholic Churches. Jane was a long time member of Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club, where she loved to golf. She also enjoyed playing bridge, and was an artist, painting in water colors, oils and acrylics.

Jane is survived by her two children, Steve (Rhonda) Heuer and Janet Heuer; grandchildren, Jessica (Hank) Holland and Christine LaCross and great-grandchildren, Noah, Cole, Chase, Cale and Isla. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil in 1998 and brothers, Francis, Robert and Richard Cook.

There will be a private inurnment in Scandinavian Cemetery beside her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be in Jane’s name to OSF Hospice.
