MARY JANE HERBERT, 82, Rockford, died at 4:30a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007 in P.A. Peterson Center For Health.nbsp; Born January 4, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Faye and Lyda Davidson Kretsinger.nbsp; Graduated from West High School.nbsp; Married Henry A. Herbert in Rockford on August 18, 1945.nbsp; Active member of of Our Saviors Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Good Will Circle.nbsp; Volunteer for River Bluff Nursing Home. nbsp;She retired from the Rockford School Board Office where she was a stenographer for many years.nbsp; Mary Jane always lived life to the fullest.nbsp; She received great enjoyment from being at their Lake Home and from her kitty, Molly.nbsp; She was a published poet, having had her poems in Ideals Magazine and Lutheran Digest.nbsp; She had been acknowledged in many ways for her poetry.nbsp; nbsp; Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen Herbert, Madison, WI., Kristine (Dave) Alter, Rockford and Laurie Robbe (Brian Pooler), Oneida, TN; 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and her precious kitty, Molly.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents; her husband on July 1, 2005; brother, Albert Kretsinger and sister, Erline Fritsch. nbsp; Funeral service at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Our Saviors Lutheran Church Upper Sanctuary, with Rev. Reid Matthias officiating.nbsp; Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.nbsp; Visistation from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the church on Tuesday.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rockford Rescue Mission or Our Saviors Lutheran Church.nbsp; Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
