Karty, 78, Rockford, died at 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in her home.nbsp; Born May 18, 1929 in Freeport, daughter of Harold and Magdalen (Scheidt) ORourke.nbsp; Graduated from St. Joseph Hospitalnbsp; in Chicago as a registered nurse. Married William Karty in Freeport on September 13. 1952. Rockford resident since 1964. She was employed at Freeport Memorial Hospital and as an Industrial Nurse for Microswitch Corp.nbsp; She also worked at Rockford Memorial Hospitalnbsp; and retired from Commonwealth Edisonnbsp; as an Industrial Nurse after 22 years. Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and North Suburban Womans Club.nbsp; Mary always saw the good in everybody and thought of everybody else before herself.nbsp; nbsp; Survivors include her husband Bill; daughters, Susan Ann (William) Estes, Belvidere and Kathleen Joan (Scott) Kreitman, Portland, OR; grandchildren, Briana Kathleen Estes; niece, Debbie Sellers; nephews, Michael ORourke, Danny ORourke and John ORourke.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Jack ORourke.nbsp; She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.nbsp; She will live in our hearts forever.nbsp; nbsp; Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Rev.
