Mary F. (Dworak) Kudzma

Mary Kudzma passed away March 4, 2017, in her home surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 13, 1941 the daughter of Benjamin and Winnie Dworak. She graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School in 1959 and worked as a bank teller for several years. Mary married her best friend Charles P. Kudzma June 3, 1961, in Rockford, Illinois. Mary had a wonderful sense of humor, always making those around her laugh and a most contagious smile. She was a good listener and volunteered as a Contact Crisis line worker. Above all she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mary is survived by her beautiful daughter Laura (Kudzma) Hammer, grandchildren Ashely, Nicolaas, and Brentyn Hammer, siblings, Barbra (Robert) Roman, Anna Marie (Richard) Arbisi, sister-in-laws Mary (Joe) Bonacci, Janet Fowler, Cathy (Dan) Genovese , Liz (Cary) Spivak, numerous nieces and nephews, and longtime friend Nancy Moorman. Predeceased by her son Charles P (Chuckie) Kudzma, parents Benjamin and Winnie Dworak and in-laws Pete and Marie Kudzma, siblings Lucille (Dworak) Adams and Benjamin Dworak. The Kudzma family would like to give a special thanks to OSF Hospice, especially Cindi who helped Mary and the family through her journey home. Funeral Mass Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of prayer at 10:45 a.m .in the parish hall.
