Jesus Christ breathed life into Mary Ellen Crow when she opened her eyes to this world for the first time 1 April 1948. Her Dad Thelwood Richard Crow, Jr. and Mom Geraline Hines smiled when Reverend Father James French baptized their new baby girl 18 April 1948. Mary Ellen made her First Holy Communion as a 2nd grader on the exact same day as her future husband Nick Federspiel Jr. on 6 May 1956. Having received the Sacrament of Confirmation 14 May 1956, Mary Ellen entered Angela Merici Catholic High School, received her diploma in 1966 along with her two cousins Debby Clare Wenger and Linda French Lund, both bridesmaids in her wedding who will both be reading Sacred Scripture at her Funeral Mass. Mary Ellen received the Sacrament of Matrimony 21 October 1967 with Nick Federspiel, Jr., who preceded her in death. Mary Ellen was the sister of Michael Richard Crow (husband of Donna) and aunt to Shellie and Geofrey and Kaylynn. Mary Ellen’s godparents are 2 of the 8 siblings of her Dad: John Edward Crow of California who turned 94 on March 21, and Marjorie Ann Crow Vowels who turned 90 on May 9. Mary Ellen spent her last Mother’s Day at her home in Houston with her two sons: Reverend Father Nicholas Thomas Federspiel III of Rockford and Craig Anthony Federspiel of Las Vegas. Following her retirement from Naturalizer Shoe Store in Houston’s Galleria, Mary Ellen spoiled her loyal and loving friends at Campanile on Justice Park with her untiring ear, wide heart, and smiling face.
