Mary Doyle

Mary Doyle, 84, Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. She was born August 24, 1939, in Chicago, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Schmidt) Weber.

She was Mom to five unruly kids to whom she leaves her amazing strength, maddening stubbornness, and unwavering commitment to family: Dan (Dundeana) Doyle of Palm Desert, CA; Laurie (Bob) Bennett of Rockford, IL; Steve (Darcy) Doyle of Marengo, IL; Bob (Joann Jones) Doyle of Garden Prairie, IL; and Randy (Meagan) Doyle of Huntley, IL.

Wife to Duke for 56 years, until October 5, 2021, when he left her side to prepare for their reunion that would come a short 2 years later.

Grandma to 10 with whom she readily shared both her opinions and her things: Shayne (Daniel Mazzone) Terry, Brooklyn, NY; Eamon Doyle, Madison, WI; Jordan (Robby) Broach, Rockford, IL; Kirkley (Caleb Bissinger) Doyle, Los Angelos, CA; Alex (Stanzi) Doyle, Rockford, IL; Casey Doyle, Marengo, IL; Carissa (Joey) Katz, Rockford, IL; Samantha Doyle, Rockford, IL; Hunter (Claire Wever) Doyle, Pittsburgh, PA; and Libby Doyle, Huntley, IL.

Gigi to 5 great-grandchildren: Cai, Elia, Laela, and Jacob Broach, Rockford, IL; and Gus Mazzone, Brooklyn, NY.

Loyal friend and co-worker to many as she worked and played tirelessly her whole life to calm her never-idle mind and body.

While nothing was ever easy, everything will be okay.
