Mary Catherine Misuraca

Mary Catherine Misuraca, 84, of Rockford passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 after a long illness. She was born December 3, 1932, in Loves Park, the daughter of Fintan Patrick and Uveta Fay (Bloyer) Doherty. Mary was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She was a beautiful person with a sweet and kind heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her and will forever be in our hearts.

She graduated from Harlem High School and worked as a Clerical worker till her marriage to Ted and became a full time Homemaker who took great pride in making a happy and loving home.

Lovingly survived by her daughter, Debra (Steve) McKinney; grandchildren, Chad (Rafaela) McKinney and Kara (Aaron) Villacorta; great-grandson, Oliver Villacorta; brothers, William Doherty, Jack Doherty and Richard (Janet) Doherty; brother-in-law, Willie Wenger; sisters-in-law, Florence Jurasek and Rose Misuraca; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Theodore (Ted) in 1986, sons, Theodore Misuraca Jr. and Terrance Misuraca, brother, Robert Doherty, sisters, Marilyn Wenger, Lorraine Doherty in Childhood and Jeanette Doherty in childhood.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road.
