Mary Margaret Beale

September 5, 1948 – April 21, 2024

Mary Margaret Beale, 75, a lifelong resident of Rockford, passed away Sunday April 21, 2024, at Wesley Willows. She was born on September 5, 1948, the daughter of Barbara Jane (Raup) Beale and Robert Maxwell Beale. Mary graduated from Rockford Guilford High School in 1966, and from The University of Wisconsin—Whitewater in 1970. Thereafter she spent her entire career at First National Bank, which became Chase Bank, retiring from their commercial loan department in 2013.

Mary was a member of Centennial United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir for many years, and later a member of Heartland Community Church, where she was on the welcome team. She enjoyed travel, and loved having meals and vacations with her family and friends. She was a kind, generous, positive person who did not seek to draw attention to herself.

Mary is survived by her siblings Robert C. (Ricky) Beale and Anne (Kurt) Beale Schaefer; four nephews and nieces, seven great-nephews and great-nieces; and dear cousins Ginny, Laura, and Betsy. She is predeceased by her parents.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
