Marvin R. Magnuson

Marvin Ronald Magnuson, 60, of Rockford, passed away peacefully in his home on March 30, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Born February 5, 1958; son of Arlene and Ronald Magnuson. Marvin graduated from East Rockford High School and attended Northern Illinois University. He worked as a custodian for the Rockford School District for over 25 years. He enjoyed attending the Bristol Renaissance fairs. His beloved cat, Jade was always at his side and he also took care of a small colony of outside kitties.

A special thank you to his girlfriend, Judy Scott for her compassionate and loving care. The staff at Mercy Home Healthcare Hospice for their excellent care. Also thank you to Jane and Tony, owner of Canine Crunchery for their kindness & concern and to his special friends, Ted Abbgy, John Burnette (Sir Clisto) and his neighbor, Debbie Alexander.

Survivors include his aunt and uncle, Elaine and Pat Dawson; stepmother, Jo Magnuson; great aunt, Midge Bonacorsi and several cousins. Predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
