Martha Nibbio

Rockford- Martha Nibbio, 80, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 in her home, after a brief illness. Born Oct. 26, 1930 in Rockford, daughter of Matthew and Josephine (DeCorte) Nibbio. nbsp;She was a nbsp;1950 graduate of West High School and began working for over 35 years as an assembler. A member of the St. Bernadette Senior Association , shenbsp; took time to enjoy traveling, making crafts, baking her Italian cookies for the holidays and spending time with relatives.nbsp; The family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice especially Jenny and Debbie for their wonderful care and support. nbsp;nbsp;Survivors include her siblings, Eleanor Rotello of Rockford, Frances Nibbio of Rockford, Nick Nibbio of CA and Vincent (Lucille) Nibbio of Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews as well.nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Sam Nibbio.

Funeral Mass, Wednesday, Nov. 10 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapelnbsp; 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a rosary servicenbsp; to be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation continues on Wed. in the Parish Hall from 9 until time of prayer at 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for a fund to be established.
