Marsha Ellis Cacci died after a brief battle with lymphoma on September 12, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, IL at the age of 69. She leaves behind her loyal and true friend, husband and business partner, John, and their loving son, Matthew.

Marsha was born on November 23, 1946 in Rockford, IL, to Noble and Katherine (Spencer) Ellis, who predeceased her.

Marsha is survived by her husband and son, as well as her aunt, Barbara Leary, and sisters-in-law, Judy (Pat) Dempsey and Jean (Dennis) Harezlak, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marsha attended Byron Elementary School and was a proud graduate of Elgin Academy.
She was a take charge professional and worked in Prange’s department store business office for many years. She was well-liked by her colleagues. She loved dogs, especially her favorite pet, Gretchen. Marsha had an eye for fashion and style and family and friends will always remember her big heart and her talent as a gourmet cook.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Ajaz Khan, Dr. Lucio Martinez and the staff of OSF Hospital for their attentive treatment and loving care. Marsha requested to be cremated. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford, Rockford, IL, with a celebration of life service at 7 pm.
