Marlin F. Marley Stebbins, 76, of Loves Park, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 following a sudden illness. Born on March 15, 1933 in Pardeeville, WI; the son of Marlin and Edna (Maynard) Stebbins. Married Nancy Amrhein in 1956, she passed away in 1988. He married Karen Geschel in Rockford on October 7, 1989. Marlin was an Iron Worker for Local No.498 for 35 years retiring in 1990. He served in the Unites States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Tim (Jasia) Stebbins, Jeff (Ginger) Stebbins, Laura (Mike) Koukos, Natalie (Dennis) James and Mike (Mindy) Geschel; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural Street, Rockford, IL 61108 with Rev. Lee Laaveg officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 9:00 11:00am on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or Rockford Rescue Mission.
