Marjorie M. Conrad

Marjorie “Margie” M. Conrad 76, of Rockford, IL passed away on June 28, 2024. She was born March 28, 1948, in Rockton, IL the daughter to Wilbur and Dorothea (Scott) Conrad and was baptized on Easter April 10, 1955 at Salem Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. Margie attended West Senior High School, graduating in 1967. Margie was a full-time bookkeeper at Anderson Dodge Chrysler Jeep (Rockford) for 53 years and she also worked a part-time job on the side in the evenings at Kohl’s (Rockford) for 29 years. Margie was very strong in her faith and work for many years on alter guild at her church. Margie loved to work, travel, was an avid reader, she enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy, loved to watch documentaries and movies. Most of all she really loved spending a lot of time with her pride and joy her daughter Kim. Margie absolutely enjoyed accompanying Kim to many of Kim’s horse shows and horse events promoting Kim’s beloved Arabian stallion “Snort”. 

Survived by her daughter Kimberly Conrad (Rockford, IL) and brother, David Conrad (Wisconsin Rapids, WI), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved kitties Mya and Zoie. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marvin Conrad and Paul Conrad; sisters Shirley France, Audrey Shores and Bonnie Lee; sister-in-law Sheryl Andreasen and Kim’s Arabian stallion “Snort”. Special thanks to: niece Heather France and Mercy Health Hospice Care.

A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 600 N. Horsman Street Rockford, Illinois 61101, with a one hour visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. A Night before visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue Rockford, Illinois 61103. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, 184 S. Pecatonica Road, Pecatonica, Illinois 61063. In Lieu of flowers make donations to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
