Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, GreatGrandmother and FriendMarion Alice Anderson, 92, lifelong Rockford resident, died at 6:07 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born May 7, 1920, daughter of George G. and Alice E. Craven Schrom. Graduated from Rockford Central High School in 1938 and Brown'¢s Business College in 1941. Married Byron G. Anderson in Rockford on July 19, 1941. Marion had been employed by American Insurance Company, spent a number of years as a buyer for D.J. Stewart & Company and for 12 years she was a bookkeeper for Rockford Clinic Credit Union and a receptionist at Rockford Clinic. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and their Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Navy Club Auxiliary and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She had been a part of a Bridge Club with good friends since 1938. Marion was a very nonjudgmental person who was accepting of everyone. Her family was the most important part of her world and she was completely devoted to them. Survivors include her children, Sue (Allan) Hottman, Rockford, George B. (Chris) Anderson, Rockford and Steve (Jean Gerth) Anderson, Sandpoint, ID; grandchildren, Wendy (Scott) Barranco, Stacey (Philip) Griggs, Jim (Leigh) Hottman, Debbie (Jason) Scott, Nate Anderson, Connor McGrath, Melissa (Michael) Lattalo, Camas (Dan Lee) Anderson, Marcus Moore, Connie Moore and Richard Fausett; greatgrandchildren, Caleigh, Cameron, Tyler, Richie, Benjamin, Anthony and Zach; sisterinlaw, Lola (Eugene) Gustafson; nephew, Gary (Molly) Soper; nieces, Terri (Mark) Vincent, Lynn (Peter) Burke, Julie Soper, Tana Gustafson, Tracey (Jack) Armstrong and their families; special friends, Phil Best, Dee Povalitis, Jo Larson and Bernice Stassi. Predeceased by her husband, Byron on May 28, 1998, parents, and her sister, Lucille Kling. Mass of Ressurection at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial in St. Mary/St. James Cemetery. Visitation from 57 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation also from 99:45 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to Winnebago County Animal Services, 4517 N.
