Marilyn K. Liston, 87, Rockford, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.nbsp; Born September 20, 1924 in Freeport, daughter of George W. and Arvilla (Sluiter) Wessels.nbsp; Graduated from West High School in 1942 and married Wayne Liston in Rockford on May 14, 1949.nbsp; Marilyn was employed as a bookkeeper for several Rockford area companies.nbsp; She was a long time member of Messiah Lutheran Church, then becoming a member of United Lutheran Church as a merger occurred.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane (William) McCormick, Nashville, TN; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, several nieces and nephews and brotherinlaw, Earl Liston, Tucson, AZ.nbsp; Predeceased by her husband on July 26, 1995, parents and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. Krista Zimmerman officiating.nbsp; Burial in Willwood Burial Park.nbsp; Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.nbsp;
