Marilyn Jane Williams, 89, passed away Wednesday October 30, 2013 in Vernon Hills, Illinois. She was born September 28, 1924 in Rockford, Illinois to Fred O. and Cecelia (Johnson) Anderson of Stillman Valley. She graduated from Kishwaukee Consolidated and Stillman Valley High School . She was a member of Kishwaukee Presbyterian church where she sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. Marilyn married Earl "Mickey" Williams Sr. on February 21, 1947 and moved onto their farm where she lived for 65 years. She was a 50 plus member of the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, and the Willing Workers Circle. She was a hard working partner to her husband on the farm, a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, a wonderful cook, and especially known for her never empty cookie jar.
She is survived by her sons, Earl (Arlene) Williams Jr. of Cherry Valley, Dr. Donald (Barbara) Williams of Ft. Atkinson, WI, and her daughter Diane (Jim) Mueller of Mundelein, IL. Grandchildren, Emily, Meagan, and Lauren Williams; Jay, Jack (Melissa) Williams, Brian (Christine) Williams, and Molly (Matt) Goetzinger; Suzanne (Danny) McLane, Jennifer and Courtney Mueller. Great-Grandchildren, Julia Williams, Henry Williams and Lily McLane. They will all remember her for her chocolate chip cookies, delicious family dinners, sleep-over's, and her two toy poodles which predeceased her "Trouble", and "Angel". She is also survived by her sisters Dorothy Swenson of Cornucopia, WI, and Lucille Brass of Mt. Morris, IL. She is predeceased by her brother Morris Anderson.
Service will be at 11 am at the Christ United Methodist church, Our Masters Center, 5973 Darlene Dr, Rockford, IL 61109 with Rev. Monty Fox officiating. Burial in Kishwaukee Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am to time of service in the church. A special thank you to caregivers Monica and Judy at Spring Meadows, the staff at Autumn Leaves and Heartland Hospice.
