Marilyn J. Ullrich, 66, of Roscoe passed away peacefully surrounded by her boys; Ken, Clint and Tyler, brothers, close family and friends, on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Swedish American Hospital. Born December 25, 1950, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the daughter of Norbert and Elizabeth (Cera) Kiefer. Marilyn married Kenneth R. Ullrich in 1971 at the Cathedral of St. Peter. She worked for AT&T and Lucent Technologies retiring early as a Project Manager after 30 years. Next, she and Ken ran an oil change business in Palatine and Elgin for 10 years. Marilyn was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit. She enjoyed shopping with friends, working with stained glass, trips with Ken and spending time with her grandkids and dog Monster. She loved her family and always supported her sons in their endeavours whether it be soccer games or plays. She was sweet, kind, caring and loving- a “rock” to all that were close.
Survived by her husband and partner in crime, Ken; sons, Clint (fiancée, Maureen O’Brien) and Tyler; grandchildren, Addison and Taylor; brothers, Donald Kiefer, Gary Kiefer, Keith Kiefer and David Kiefer; brother-in-law Darwin Ullrich. Predeceased by her parents, brothers; Joey Kiefer and Kenny Kiefer; in-laws, Richard and Audrey Ullrich.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Boulevard, South Beloit. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, with the rosary recited at 7:45 p.m., and will continue on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery, South Beloit following.
