Marilyn R. Dean

Marilyn R. Dean, 95, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024. She was born on June 20, 1928, to Frank and Gladys Ozier. Marilyn was known for her loving nature, generosity, and passion for helping others. She enjoyed traveling, singing in choirs, and volunteering at church and in the community. Marilyn was a devoted grandmother who loved creating memories with all her grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her loving children, Carol (Richard) Hathaway, Cindy (Ken) Bornbach, Craig (Heidi) Dean, Candy (Darrell) Johnson, Cheri Slusser; her grandchildren, Michael (Kaeli) Hathaway, Katie Johnson, Steven Johnson (Marielle Young), Brendan Johnson (fiancé, Zoe Edwards), Ashley (Jay) Sawyer, Jeff (Lynzi) Slusser and great-granddaughters, Zella and Zora. She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Bob Slusser.

A visitation will take place on May 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service, 11:00 AM at St. Anskar’s Episcopal Church, 4801 Spring Creek Road in Rockford.
