Marilyn A Scheidegger

Marilyn A. Scheidegger, 87, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born July 13, 1929 and was raised in Scales Mound, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Rose (Boss) Hoppe. Marilyn married Joseph Scheidegger on July 2, 1948. She worked out of the home as a telephone operator and then became a full-time homemaker, and they resided in the Rockford area during their lives together. Joseph predeceased her in death in 2008. She was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed music and spending time with her loving family and friends. She is survived by: Her sons, Thomas Scheidegger of Rockford and Timothy (Jackie) Scheidegger of CO; grandchildren Justin (Kurt Malec) Scheidegger of CT and Hannah Scheidegger and great granddaughter Sophia of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Sr.; sons, Jacob and Joseph Jr.; daughter Naomi; three infant daughters; one brother and one sister.
In respect to Marilyn’s wishes, cremation was chosen and no services will take place. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Family wishes to send a sincere thank you to the Visiting Angels, the Visiting Nurse Services and the East Bank Center.
