Marie F. Kelly-Smith

Marie Kelly-Smith, 86, of Rockford passed away June 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 1, 1925 in Blooming Prairie, MN the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Roskopp) LaRosa. Marie worked as an LPN at various nursing homes during her career. She later worked as a care giver at Fairgrounds Daycare Center until her retirement. Marie married Ed Kelly. He preceded her in death April 21, 1996. She later married Ralph K. Smith, he survives. Survivors include her children Tom, Ron, Bill Kelly, Deena (Wayne) Phillips, Kathie (Eddie) Hammonds and Vickie Kolthoff; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one sister Doris May Rainwater. Marie was God's Gift to the world; she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Per her request she will be cremated with private family services.
