Marie F. Gravagno

Marie F. Gravagno, 83 of Rockford passed away Friday February 4, 2011. Marie was born April 26, 1927 in Chicago. The daughter of Albert and Angeline Jenik. She married Joseph Gravagno in Chicago on December 18, 1949. She was also a professional seamstress, who worked at Blum's Vogue for many famous actresses in the 40's. With her skills as a seamstress, she taught her family to sew. Marie worked as a CNA (sp) in the Rockford area. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; children, Josette Marie Gravagno of Rockford and Angela Mary Morgan of Michigan; grandchildren, Christopher William (Anna) Gravagno of Rockford, Ryan Michael Gravagno of Rockford, Gregory Philip Morgan of Michigan and Jared Beem of Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Darryl William and Kylie Ann. Brother, Albert (Gladys) Jenik. Predeceased by her parents; daughter, Annette Beem and brother ,James Jenik.Services at 11:00am Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Salem Lutheran Church 1629 S. 6th St. Rockford, Illinois 61104. Visitation from 10 to 11 am Tuesday in the church. Memorials to the American Cancer Society. The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel.
