Marianne Starbuck

Marianne Freda "Fritzi" Starbuck, 89, Rockford, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 9, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born June 24, 1924, in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Paul and Alvina (Janke) Rocks. Fritzi has lived in Rockford since 1968, coming from Benton Harbor, MI. She married Harold W. Starbuck in El Paso, TX on October 27, 1945. Fritzi worked in personnel at Sears, Roebuck and Company and then as a buyer for D.J. Stewart. She was a member of First Evangelical Covenant Church.
Survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Harold; her sons, Alan (Diane) Starbuck of Rockford, and Scott (Kimberly) Starbuck of O'Fallon, MO; granddaughter, Jennifer (Mark) McClung, step- grandson, Eric (Deborah) Shoemaker, step-granddaughters, Katherine(Thad) Debelak and Ashley Purcell, step-grandson, Trevor Purcell; great-grandson, Jack Wilson McClung, step-great-grandson Colton James Debelak; sisters-in-law, Mildred Rocks of Fullerton, CA. and Marion Starbuck of Kalamazoo, MI. Predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 14, 2013, at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 316 Wood Rd. with Reverend Peter Dibley officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the church on Thursday. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
