Maria Engracia Soria

Rockford-Maria Engracia Soria, 67, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 in her home. Born May 31, 1943 in Mexico the daughter of Demetrio and Maria (Arellano) Rico. Married her loving husband Reveriano Soria and enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and grandmother in the years since her retirement. Survivors include her husband; her children, Elias (Mireya) Soria, Ofelia Erdman, Lucia (Richard) McFarlane, Irma (Martin) Marquez, Amado Soria, Yolanda (Juan) Mendoza, Sonia (Martin) Delgado and Laura (Ronald) Burkins; 14 loving grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to; Alberto (Carmen) Rico, Guadalupe Silva, Elvia and Fernanda Mauricio, Luz Medrano, Armida Rivera, Julia Lara and Nidya Angeles. The family also wishes to thank nurse Sue Fricke for the wonderful care she gave to Maria. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul, 617 Lincoln Ave. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday, November 2 ,at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave. from 5 - 8 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 5 p.m. Visitation continues on Wednesday in church from 10 until time of prayer at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to: Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center, 4215 Newburg Rd.
