Maria A. Rivera

Maria A. Rivera, 62, of Rockford passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018. Born January 17, 1956, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Benito and Rafaela (Rios) Chapa. Maria married Javier Rivera in 1977 in San Antonio, Texas. Maria enjoyed sewing and crafts. She loved to cook and garden. She had a laugh that would light up the room.
Lovingly survived by her husband, Javier; sons, Javier (Angela) Rivera, Beny (Maria) Rivera and Victor (Angela) Rivera; grandchildren, Javier Jr., Aliyah, Elizabeth, Thea, Mila Rose and one on the way; siblings, Norma, Carmen, Francisco, Yolanda and Diana; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in by her father, Benito.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road.
