Marguerite M. Moser, 94 of Rockford died Thursday surrounded by family. Born July 14, 1922 in Elkader, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Finnegan) Wagner. Valedictorian of St. Joseph High School, she met and married Edwin Moser, worked as an x-ray technician for several years, and then devoted her time to her children and numerous organizations. Marguerite was an avid golfer, a member of Macktown and Spring Run Golf leagues, bridge player, and volunteer to St. Anthony Hospital, St. Elizabeth Center, Catholic Womens League, Holy Family Church and British Boots and Bonnets Club. Her love and generosity will be missed by many friends and family. The family extends a special thank you to Marguerites compassionate caregivers April, Augusta, Carolina, Angie, Tiara and Heartland Hospice.
Survivors include her husband Ed; children Tom Moser, Karen Cantrell, Jack Moser, Nancy (Ned) Friel, Jim (MaryBeth) Moser and Carol(Mark) Schaal; grandchildren Chris Cantrell, John Moser, Jenny Moser, Jessie Moser, Blake Moser, Carley Moser, Sarah Friel, Michael Friel, Alex Schaal, Maddie Schaal, James Schaal; great granddaughter Bethany Moser. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Eulberg.
Visitation from 9:30 – 10:45 am, followed by 11am Mass on Tuesday,
August 2, 2016 at Holy Family Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. In lieu of flowers memorials to Poor Clares Corpus Christi. Fitzgerald Funeral Home is assisting the family.
