Margery Sue Spencer, 85 of Roscoe, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Marge was born in Sycamore, Illinois on July 13, 1939, to Clifton and Vivian (Dellenback) Whisler. She graduated from Big Rock High School in Hinckley, IL in 1957. She was a homemaker for many years and went on to work for OSF Home Healthcare. She also served the Lord by being a member of the Sweet Adelines Choir for many years.
She married the love of her life, Ronald Spencer, in 1986. Marge loved baking banana bread for everyone’s birthday and making her famous Merry Maker Cookies at Christmas time with her granddaughters. She enjoyed listening to George Strait, Randy Travis, Patsy Cline, reading Danielle Steel books, but most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her family. Marge truly put her family first and showed all of us the true meaning of family.
Marge is survived by her children Michael Fuller, Dan (Veronika) Fuller, Tom (Cara) Fuller, Kathleen Fuller, Rhonda (Russ) Dailing, Rick (Paula) Spencer, Robin (Jerry) Henning, Ross Spencer, Randy (Crystal) Spencer; grandchildren Amanda (Brian) Harvey, Kyle (Nicole) Fuller, Krystin Fuller, Amber (David) Johnson, Alex (Courtney) Fuller, Beth (Evan) Davis, Ashley (Trell) Engelkes, Nathan Fuller, Katelyn Fuller, Rachel (Dean) Loria, Ryan (Billie) Dailing, Ericka (Jake) Lee, Josh (Rhiannon) Spencer, Allison (Josh) Parkhurst, Aubrey Henning (Faith), Isaac Spencer; great-grandchildren, Alyson Fuller, Nataly Fuller, Brock Harvey, Barrett Harvey, Kylie Fuller, Lucas Davis, Brantley Fuller, Brynn Harvey, Ellie Davis, Callista Fuller, Logan Fuller, Zeke Eisenhauer, Kendal Eisenhauer, Logan Loria, Myah Loria, Spencer Dailing, June Lee, Cora Lee, Hadley Parkhurst, Kinsley Spencer, Kylie Spencer, Kai Robinson; niece Angie (Shane) Knick, and nephew Nick Craycraft. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald Spencer, son Jerry Fuller and sister Diana Craycraft.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108 with funeral service immediately thereafter. Marge’s final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A Luncheon will be held immediately following the graveside services at American Legion 221 Main St., Rockton, IL 61072.
