Margaret T. (Armato) Rum, 79
Rockford Margaret T. Rum, 79 of Rockford, died at 10:25 a.m. Sunday July 20, 2008 in Highview in the Woodlands. Margaret was born May 10, 1929 in Rockford to Frank and Mary (Giovingo) Armato. She married Robert Rum on September 24, 1949. Margaret was a member of the Verdi Club Auxiliary, St. Marys Good Time Club, and St. Patrick Catholic Church. Margaret was very generous and loved being with family and friends. Margaret enjoyed playing cards and bingo and she enjoyed going to Las Vegas with her sisters and brother. She also loved going to the trailer with family and friends, but, most of all she loved her grandson Jason. Special thanks to OSF Hospice and the staff at Highview in the Woodlands. Survivors include her daughter Sandy (Buddy) Winkler, Grandson Jason Winkler. Sisters Rose Phillips, Marie Hilliard and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, husband Robert Rum, sisters Katherine Picchi and Lena Mordick Dal Fattello and brother Alex Armato. Funeral Mass will be Thursday July 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Matthew T. Rudden officiating. Internment to follow in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday July 23, 2008 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a time of sharing at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Chapel 1860 South Mulford Rd. Rockford, Illinois 61108.
