Margaret L. Jury

Margaret L. Jury, 94, Rockford, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Home. She was born January 3, 1927, in Belvidere, the daughter of Clarence and Rose (Schwebke) Countryman. Margaret married Myron J. Jury on August 24, 1946. He passed away in 1998. She was a long time member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Belvidere where she was active in many areas. Margaret began her more than 30 year career in banking in Belvidere with Farmer’s National Bank and then Belvidere National Bank and Trust and finally at Belvidere Bank until her retirement.
Survived by her son Jayson L. (Linda) Jury, Sr. of Oak Harbor, WA and her daughter, Gale M. (Dan) Degner of Loves Park; her grandchildren, Jaylynn Jury of Phoenix, AZ and Jayson L. (Hillary) Jury, Jr. of Hayden, ID; her great-granddaughter, Lucy Jury; her brothers, Elmer (Sandra) Countryman of Pinehurst, NC and Richard (Jill) Countryman of Belvidere and her brother-in-law, David Cregeen of Belvidere; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Myron, her parents, and several brothers and sisters; Clarence Jr., Fran, Alice, Frank, Lois, James and Danny. Special thanks to the staff at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Home and to the staff at OSF Hospice for their kindness and care for Mom.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 217 E. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008 with Father Randy Wakitsch officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Burial in Belvidere City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 217 E. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008
