Born April 1, 1920 in Rockford to Antonio andLena (Gulotta) Perrone.  Married Peter Abate on October 29,  1944 inRockford, Il.  A member of the Cathedral of St.  Peter. Survivors include; Sons, Michael (Catherine) Abate of Manhattan, NY; Steven (Linda) Abate of Portland, Oregon.  Grandchildren; Angelena, Antonio, Andrew and Dillon Abate. One nephew Anthony (Donna) Perrone.  Dear friends Marcy and Sam Sciortino and a wealth of friends. Predeceased by parents, husband and two brothers Alex Perrone and Sebastian Perrone. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Cathedral of St.  Peter 1243 N. Church Street , Rockford, Il 61103 , with Father Ken Wasilewski officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m until 10:45 a.m. at church.  Memorials may be made to the family for an establishment to be determined at a later date.
