Margaret B. Folliard

Margaret ""Peg"" B. Folliard, 92 a life long resident of Rockford, died January 4, 2008 in Springwood Nursing Home. Born February 10, 1915, daughter of Thomas and Ellen (Nelson) Pumphrey. Graduate of Rockford Central High School class of 1934 and a 1939 graduate of St. Charles Hospital School of Nursing, Aurora. Married Thomas J. Folliard on May 3, 1948 in St. Peter Church. Worked as a Registered Nurse for Americana Nursing Home and Winnebago County Hospital, Rockford, retiring in 1975 after 36 years of faithful service. A member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, she enjoyed knitting and volunteering at Americana Nursing Home. Survivors include her sons, Robert ""Rob"" , William ""Bill"" (Nancy) and Patrick ""Pat"" Folliard all of Rockford; grandchildren, Garrett and Kaitlyn Folliard and special friend, Arlene Bowes. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband on January 3, 2003; brother Billy; 3 sisters, Katherine, Marion and Jane Pumphrey; brother-in-law, Robert Folliard and sister-in-law, Mary Mayer. Funeral Mass Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.,St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2300 Bell Ave. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 9-9:45 a.m. in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials to a charity of ones choice. Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel assisted with arrangements.
