Margaret Antionette Kellner Riedel

Margaret Antionette Kellner Riedel, 96, Rockford, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Alpine Fireside Health Center. She was born January 24, 1918, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the daughter of George and Katherine (Bushmaker) Johnson. Margaret married Joseph E. Kellner in Marshfield, WI in 1941. He passed away on June 1, 1975. She then married James Riedel in Rockford on June 24, 1982. He passed away on November 11, 2003. Margaret was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, reading, and was a longtime member of the Rockford YWCA. Margaret will forever be remembered for the way she celebrated life, cherished her family, and brought joy to all who knew her.
Survived by her daughter, Nancy (Dave) Kellner-Tapp of Elbert, CO, her son, James T. (Lynn) Riedel of Loves Park, and her daughter, Catherine Keho of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, James Riedel, Michael (Anna) Riedel, Matthew (Jennifer) Riedel, Megan Keho and Patrick Keho; her great-grandchildren, Melissa, Megan, Addy, Kennedy, Olivia, Cole, and Tristen. Predeceased by her parents; her husbands, Joseph Kellner and James Riedel; her brother, John Johnson; and her sisters, Gert Gilardi, Mary Staniforth, Anne Fisher, Dorothy Nimtz, and Cora Sherier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Av, Loves Park. Burial in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Marshfield, WI.
