Marcella Trojniar

Marcella "Marcy" Trojniar 79 of Rockford passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 8, 1931 in Rib Lake, WI. She was the daughter of George and Margaret Haider. She married Louis J. Trojniar on April 16, 1955 in Rib Lake, WI. Louis predeceased her on March 25, 2006. She worked for Clinton Electronics where she retired after working there for many years. Member of St James Catholic Church, Rockford, also a member of the Elders Club at St James and a former volunteer at the Cornucopia food pantry. Marcella loved to travel with her husband, spending time with her family and sewing many things for her grandchildren.Survivors include her children; Gale (Gary) Ruff of Mitchell, SD, Mark (Julie) of Rockford, Donna (Robert) Fortune of Roscoe, Matthew (Sarah) of Rockford and Alan (Sue) of Greensboro, NC. Grandchildren; Felicia, Michelle, Ryan, Otis, Elton, Brad, Sheryl, Jacob, Michelle and Matthew. Great grandchildren; Trinity, Natalie, Alex, Kamie, Matthew and Andrew. Brothers; Ewald, Milton and Verlyn Haider. Sisters; Evelyn Apfelbeck, Esther Kraus and Ann Kolecheck. Predeceased by her parents, husband and sister Mildred Tauber.Mass of Resurrection will be at 11am Friday November 5, 2010 in St James Catholic Church, Rockford. Father Dean Russell officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until time of service, Friday in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials to Northern Illinois Hospice & Grief Center and St James Church.
