Mae J. Anderson

Mae J. Anderson, 93, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Mae was born in Rockford, IL on October 23, 1930, daughter of Eric and Emma (Johnson) Anderson. She attended Rockford schools and East High. Mae worked many dedicated years as a secretary and moved her way up to supervisor at City Hall until her retirement. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and had a crafty hand for cross stitching. Most of all, Mae enjoyed spending her time with dear family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed. 

Those left to honor Mae's memory include her brothers, Robert (Ruth) Anderson and James (Prudy) Anderson; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Richard and sister, Shirley.

In honor of Mae's wishes, a private family service will be held. Burial will conclude in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford, Illinois.
