Madeline Nacvich, 98, of Rockford, IL passed away on Sunday, april 29, 2018 at River Bluff Nursing Home.
Madeline was born June 28, 1919 in Rockford, IL, daughter of Frank and Lena Branca. She married Alphonsus Nacvich on October 18, 1941. Throughout her life, Madeline especially loved dancing, spending time with her family, as well as cooking and playing bingo. She will be dearly missed.
Madeline is survived by her 2 sons, Frank Nacvich and Robert (Linda) Nacvich; 2 daughters, June Gabel and Theresa (Robin) Glud; grandchildren, Katie (Chandler) Carnock, Joe O’Day, Jason Martin, Erin Martin, Carmen Johnson, and several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Thomas Gabel; 2 sisters, Margaret Palombi and Catherine Giacomazzo. Special thanks to the caring staff of River Bluff Nursing Home and Mercy Health Hospice.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory – Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103 followed by a funeral service with Pastor Clay Bethuy officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
